Please welcome MrPausahow. Are you good? How are you I'm good? I'm good,I'm getting festive, I'm getting ready for these holidays, I'm getting readyfor New Year's Ave, I'm getting ready...

...for two thousand and twenty one. So I'mgoing to be ready, you know mean Goi, don't even know what day it is or whattime it is. So I just know the holidays are approaching, and I mean we're goingto talk about how we can celebrate at home, but I want to know you know youwork with a lot of major alcohol brands. What is going on with alcohol salesduring covid and how is it affecting the marketing of these big brands? Soobviously liquor sales are booming because people are spending more timeat home. Theyre go to the liquor bfor the GOCERY STORE CVS whwherever to buymore wine more liquor, so those sales are up. However, the on premise world, like bars, nightclubs, restaurants, that's completely sort of been washedaway, even wit, Copel to go so people are really enjoying cocktails, enjuyingwine enjoying luscious libations at home. So that's sort of what'shappening with that. Ind doing that a lot of rants are to doing virtualevents in virtual, trainings and stuff, like that. So I just recently did anevent where we did with Hormel. We had Taylor. Dane. We had boys to men. Wehad a Cottele to fro wo thened around friends, giving so Hormel brought insome major shefts to teach how to do side dishes we had mea from bar rescue, teach us how to do a cocktail, so it's really about still engaging witheverybody in fun spirited way, but at home. So these four walls have seen alot of booze go down in the past W. Well, my for whills I've seen a lotof boos go down, but nothing as quite as luxurious or like celebrity field. As that, it's just me and Netflix Mart Lot. Hey. We do what we can do this year. That's what I say of UNI money. It's like you get by how you get by whetherit', etlicks, chill and beer, or just Netflix, chill and inedible hey I'vehad all those night. I love that slogan. Two Thousand and twenty get by no entertainment, though, has been abig part of your life. You performed an off Broadway. You also performed withBroadway bears for...

...quite a number of years. What aboutworking in the theater world kind of has helped you developed your redcarpet and celebrity interaction skills? What what aspects from theater itreally really aide you in that yeah, so I spent so much of my hohood in mywties as a performer, doing commercials off roadway doing stuff like that. Sothe first rule when you're improving, is to always say yes an so that reallyprepared me to go. Do live TV introiew celebrities live to. You know, do thesegments that were doing at home because you never know a questionyou're going to get from a journalist, say if you're doing Ktla Morning News, they could throw you a cur Bal and you have to be ready so thoe years, Ave,ten prodcasses, those years of you know doing musical theater doing acting andall that really is prepared me to just be a role with the punches type of guywhen it comes to doing on air segments or Subat or vein stebrities. As youknow, it can go a little left. Ther time can go so many different ways andyou just never know. Okay, so I'll put all of those naked bodies in Broadwaybears with the hottest actors of the stage. Are there any SHENANIGAINST thatstage? There are definitely Shimanagainst backstake weer there areto. There were two shows, so there was an earlier show and then there was alater show. So in thet two shows Jerry Mitchell who's. The choreographer wouldhave everybody gather around and there would be a ceremonial shot so once thebooze enters after the first show and the second show sometimes the girl piks.Don't St on people get a little loose. Yours truly included, so there might besome makeout sessions. I went up to Cindy Locker and was like trying togive her a hug, but I was coverting literal Yo like to touch me, but youlook cute, so you know it's just chaos and it was at Roseland ballroom then, which is now turned into. You know: apartment buildings in New York, cityIC, like every other nightclub and situation in New York. There's a ton ofenergy in the room. It kind of energy in Bertin between shows and was such agreat creative energy, and it was all to raise money for Broadway, cares.Equity Fights, eight, which is one of...

...my favorite charites, so you're saying people should checkout the second show of the day than I tiyk you. Both it's charity you'redoing charity work people, so I go to both and do a shot of Tiqila. You know at a bar next or and then o e Sen, showwhy not yeah, you don't have to tell me twice: You're, also an entertainmentnews reporter for Bravo TV with everyone underlockdown. How do you findcelebrity news and goings on during this time? I mean, what's trending, celebrity wise during covid? Well, I recently again, publications much likebars and restaurants are really having to give it so like. Last week I workewith Li Copadente magazine, and I interviewed Kali Coko. So we did an iglive where you know, fans of Caley's and fans of the magazine could jump onand ask questions for those o. You who don't know Cayley has a really great fomaccho right now called the flight attendant, which everybody has to checkout, she's so great in it, and she exactly to produced it. So we justhopped on that ig live, I made a little lilay sprits and we sipped a drink andCaley gave me all the tea on what it was like producing. This show you know, shooting during covid stopping to shoot and then having to start overshootingtraveling the world during two thousand and twenty. So you know, vocations arereally shifting and pivoting during this time to the way that we're meetingcelebrities ind the way that we're chatting Alex you not you know: You'Ryou're, the King of Zoom you're, the Queen of Zoom you're, the tween of sky,the cake iy. Whatever you know, it's just your roll with the punches. Youget the little tid bit and you move on. You know I love Cayley and the fintattendant. I is it's everybody's favorite new show. I just haven'tforgiven her yet for ruining charmed hmamshe wasn't the last for charmed manyway, but it's fine. So, on this serious noke, you know representationwith the Lgbtq community in terms of hosting has gotten so good on all thesedifferent networks. You know we have...

...everywhere from Ross Matthews to peopleon eentertainment news and on the morning show what has been yourexperience. Have you ever experienced homophobia, because when you first hitthe scene, it wasn't quite as acceptable or even just out there as itis now yeah. I mean it's been an interesting ride. I mean I've been inthe show business world now, for you know close to twenty years, so thingshave really changed and shifted the host. You know I've had some talentmanagers that were sort of like. Oh you know, can you butch it up for thisaudition for a hosting Gig, or can you you know like be a little bit more fromboring for this tore? Looking for that? So a challenge for me is that I'm justme- and this is who I am- and this is who I present so I can read atelefronter. I can write cofee. I can do everything a host can do. I canproduce so people ssen me Hort to shift or change or do something. It typicallydoesn't work well for me, because then I feel like it's forced, so I'm sure Iv missed out on jobs and stuff like that, but I what's so important to meis being true to myself and and just being my joyful self and and I think ithas changed, and there is a lot of representation on television now, that's so great, so I think things are going to be changing even more as likewe go into next year and everything like that, so yeah well and being trueto yourself. We talked about this in the magazine article. We talked aboutbody image, you know during Covid we're all kind of gaining our covidquarantine car pounds, but you're continually still on camera, you'reappearing on morning shows and all types of shows and you're doing thesecelebrity tasting. So body image is still very you know, part of your job,so to speak, and we know coming from the LGVTQ community. We have our ownbody issues and body pressures going on. Even though there's this kind ofmessage of body positivity at the end of the day, I still don't think we'requite there. How have you dealt with that kind of playing with body image, being a gay man being on camera all the...

...time, but also being stuck at home nextto e refrigerator? Well, yeah, next to my refrigerator. Well, for me, thingshave changed a lot, because when I was in my ies I was doing you know showslike Broadway bears. I was in the donkey show, which was an Offra showthat we ern literally like a pair of Panties, and I worked for two exists asa model, so there was so much more pressure on me in my Twentis to stay.On top of you know how I looked the barely in bose on, but now that I'm notin my twies and my last agent was like you don't need to you. Don't need toworry about your body anymore, because you're not going to be disrobing to sayhost the American mysical Wor Preo with canby birth. So I do think that there's a lot ofpressure for the way that people look, whether you're on camera or just say agay man, so during quarantine and during two thousand and twenty my wholethought is like you do what you can do if you gain a few pounds, because yourcomfort eating a little because we're trapped in our homes give yourself abreak like don't beat yourself up, I mean if you're having you know thatmilkshake at night to make yourself a little comfortable. That's fine! Youcan only do so much in a time like two thousand and twenty. So I think it'sall about your mental health too. So, if you can get outside, I've been doingwalks every day to beverly hills. It's like a soccer, mom Walki, but get thearms going, gives me that Mamentum and I'm like. I did a forty five minutewalk today, I'm like a Seidet year old woman, but I'm like I did something Igot out ad move, so I think we have to like cut ourselves a little flak, especially inwhenhe's funning, with like body image and stuff like that, because we're so limited, especially here in yeah southern California, whereGims have really open since March yeah, and that is very true and, ofcourse we're in socow. So every postmates driver looks like a model bythe way. So if you need to call postmates just for a little just FA,little glimpse of beauty, that's also part of it too. Okay, I want to talkabout my favorite subject, which is of course cocktails. Okay, no, I love awell crafted cocktail with ingredients...

...and garnishes at a bar, but at home. Ifthere's like more than three ingredients or all these steps, I'mjust not going to do it because I just don't have that patient same thing withany kind of food recipe. But what are some of the quickest ways to spruce upa drink at home using our everyday home ingredients that are just very simplethat that even I can do okay, so first up coffee cocktails are having aresurgence right now. So I have a really rigt RIFP on a classic cocktailand it involves a little diy element. So what you do is you take some coffeegrinds that you used and you take a little bit of like wrong, that you havelaying around or you coul do this with Vita. What toet do is you're going toinfuse the vadgaor rum with the coffee grinds to really get the most out ofthose coffee grinds for like three or four days, and then what you're goingto do is you're going to make ap fum little revolver pocktail. So it's liketwo ounces of that coffee, infuse Bourbon and then just one ounce of acoffee lacour like Mr Black, which is a great coffee lacor. So what you do isyou just put those with m both some ice? You shake it and then you put it over anice fresh rock, a nice. You know ice cube and it's a great spirit forward, sipper for this time of year, because we are in so cal, but for those a youwatch and it sort of pull their climates. This is a great likefireplace going a nice throw around you a furry, throw it's like the perfectwinter cocktail. So it's really about using stuff that you have at home inElevy. Another great idea is putting cocktails into Mason Jars and thendropping them at your friends houses. So you can hop out together because youknow what we're all a little fifteen you know were from doing all thesezooms, but this is a great way that you can do that so take that cocktail putit in a Mason Jar, don't put the ice in drop it at their door and then you canchat through peopl chat through with people how to be an at home. Exollege. Is the cocktail revolver? I really liked that idea and plus you know youcan make it as youre a Christmas card or your Christmas gift. That's reallygreat again now: Let's talk about happy...

...ours rooms. When we first wentunderlockdown everybody was doing happy ourzoms every day I mean I was doing itand then it kind of hit a wall and I'm just like h. It got kind of boring andthen you didn't really know what to say what are some of your tips for hostinga great zoom happy hour and I think, starting off by dropping off drinks tofriends it's great, but during during the happy hour zoom. What kind of tipsdo you have for being a good host? Absolutely absolutely so Kip One? Is Ireally like to come up with he sceme? So obviously it's the holiday time. Sothat's a great theme, all things holiday, but over the summer I was likehow can we get a little bit more creative, and so I came up with like atropical theme. So what I did was I wopped off some Mace hocktails withsome. It was again some rom there's some pineapple juice in there, so I didlittle tiki cocktails that I dropped at people's houses and you could alsostick with that thing throughout the entire sort of Loos situation and thenumber two tip is you want to appoint a host because you don't want everybodytalking over each other. You want to have somebody really leading it andthat host will sort of go through a guided schedule for everything and mysep is: Why not bring in an expert. We all know some expert in some capacityin our lives, whether it's a meditation coach, whether it's a yoga instructor,a psychic and if you're doing say a tropical theme, you igt know somebody, that's a Hola dancer or somebody that can do. You know something fun likewithin the tropical realm. You can be transported to Hawaii for like a littleLuau situation, so you bringin that expert to sort of do what tha crtsesreally switch things up. So it's not just everybody sitting talking to eachother and the last thip is come up with the fun game there 're so many fungames that you can do whether it's pictionary. I took some paper like thisand I literally just taped it up behind me when I was doing one and we played afun game of pictionary again Stuffyo of playing around the house super easy andSuper Fun and budget friendly because we're all on a butt yeah. I reallyreally love those ideas, of course, like Strip Trivia is not good on doingbecause they'll shout you dawn. I...

...learned that Te Ardo! Oh, go! Yes! NO STILL! Now what is your drink of choice? Imean you, you work with so many different alcohol types, but what isyour goat to just everyday drink? I have been recently obsessed withEspresso martines again coffee coptails and it's super easy and it's a goodpickme up. So it's one part espresso one part coffy Lacor, like Mr BlackHodecor and then Runn Hart Voka. So you just shake those up, pour it into aMartin. You know, after a long day you might want to drink, but you also wanta little bit of that. You know pick me up with the caffeine, so it's a supereasy drink and I think whell Makee one together at some point soon now like so,you stand by Hapyliss and I love the coffee ellement, because then you know,if you want to have it in the morning: it's okay, exactly breakfast thebreakfast situation, breakfast of Champions, all right Paul! Are youreadyto play a little rapid fire yeah? Okay? What cocktail would you serve atJoe Binn's in Youauguration Party? Oh, I would do like a fun champagne, lilay, sprits, okay, yeah. I love that. What would the name of Your Own Vodcabe? It would be. Paul Vodka. That's no very exciting! Well, I wouldnever start my own liquor line. I would buy it though I woulddefinitely buy it. Okay, okay, anyway best. I drank too much story, Oh God, my bat, one of my best I dravetoo much stories was the time that I got Adell, who was underage drunkduring an out one hundred events in New York City. Before she was famous, soshe just wanted liquor, liquor, liquor and I just kept giving her liquor andthen I was she's like music with me, and then we ended up getting shinackerdat the end by the end of the event, and then I realized that her album wasnineteen and she was nineteen, which is...

...not legal, trinking agent, the UnitedStates. So I mean things that I wasn't arrested, ahthat's a great story. Whatwhat is your worst celebrity red carpet moment? Probably Dureng me Pitan JermyPidan was pretty intolerable when I ew him for antrerage the movie. He I madeone Flob of saying that the movie was going to be released on demand and he'slike. No, it's not, and then he turned to his managers. Like is tit going tobe Baba. Bod He's like no and then he just walked off made interview. So youknow that was probably one of my leastfavorite encounters with the celebrity, but yeah Wella lot of people have bad pivonstories. I mean H, yeah yeah, even his Bankteller, his grocer, his mothereverybody's, the bad Pi, his costmake driver, probably ye it's like. No God,it's Pivit again right who's, your celebrity crush. My celebrity CROSSD isRicky Martin. Oh, he gets better with Hhe's like anEspreso Martini, he's like a little refine with a little kick miv. Lo grownup. Yes, I love Italoca. Okay, Paul telleverybody where you want them to find you and follow you. Everybody follow meon Instagram at Paulzon twitter.
